The Harvey Dickson's Country Music Show to be held on the 25th – 26th – and 27th September 2009 are dedicating this Great Australia Country Music Weekend to a brave young girl from our home town:- Carmel Harris (RIP).
Carmel was great country music fan especially the music of Johnny Cash.
Therefore, Friday 25th September 2009 will her night with a fantastic "Tribute to Johnny Cash" along with a Salute to the "Ladies of Country"
Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th September 2009 will be "The Very Best of Country Music" you will find anywhere in the universe.

"Carmel arrived into our family on the 29th June 1971. Born at the Boyup Hospital. The first 14 weeks of her life, she spent in Princess Margaret Hospital in Perth. Carmel was born with the condition, Epidermolysis Bullosa (E.B.) or blistering of the skin. Also known as Cotton Wool Babies.
Life was very difficult for our family at this time. There was little knowledge or support for this condition for many years. Delvene our second daughter arrived 2years and 9months later. Carmel grew up with us on the farm at Boyup brook spending many happy years with us before moving to Perth.
We are very proud of Carmel's achievements both in her work as a receptionist for the W.A. Police and in her personal life through public speaking and other means, Carmel worked for the rights of those with handicaps including DEBRAA (Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa Research Association of Australia)
Carmel suffered too much in her short life but did not let the problems prevent her from achieving and enjoying many things. She was an inspiration to her work colleagues and to all those she met. Carmel was a very special person and we will never forget how much she meant to us. We miss her Heaps. LIKE CARMEL SAID "LIFE IS WHAT YOU MAKE IT"
